I know its only just Spring but its time to be thinking of Summer!

We are a local soft skills training company and have been delivering training in teambuilding, customer service, governance, leadership and many other topics for 19 years – this year, we are starting our summer discount program early.

Each year, we pilot new courses and discount our training programs over the summer months (the quietest times for our corporate clients) to keep our team active and engaged.

For 2009, we are offering our one day training programs at less than half price to community and non-profit organizations who book courses before May 31st for delivery June 15- August 31. That means a $2000 one day program for your organization for only $800!

You can use this training as you see fit – for your staff, your board, your participants, within your programs or as a staff development activity or fundraiser – it’s your call.

Becoming More Resilient (4 teleseminars)
Resiliency is the ability to thrive and increase competence in the face of adverse circumstances or obstacles. Human beings have a naturally resilient nature but it must be nurtured or it can be lost. Professionals who are resilient draw upon all resources: biological, psychological and environmental to succeed. Resilient people have a competitive advantage. They adapt and thrive better than others in conditions of challenge and non-stop change.

Participants will identify personal “resiliency builders,” discover how to strengthen their ability to overcome whatever they are facing and understand their unique personal strengths. The four sessions are: Managing Your Sphere of Influence, Developing Your Emotional Intelligence, Learned Optimism, Practicing Resiliency.

Advance Corporate Training Ltd. schedules their first 2008 Learn at Work Week event.

As many of us rest and relax during the summer, staff at Advance Corporate Training Ltd. have been busy booking and scheduling client and staff events for the fall. In adddition to booking our many in-house sessions for clients, we are pleased to announce our first internal Learn at Work Week course - on September 25, 2008 from 12:30 - 4:30 pm, Independent Fianncial Planner (and ACT Ltd. Master Facilitator) Neil Sharpham will lead a session for trainers and staff on Financial Planning Basics.

Designed specifically for those VERY pre-retrirement, this session will help participants take control of their financial future. Brought to staff at no charge courtesy of ACT Ltd's staff professional development fund, this session is also open to staff of our suppliers, partners and clients. ACT gets up to par!

Tony Procure,Operations Manager with Advance Corporate Training, joined Kent O'Sullivan, Bryan Lowes and Rick Cox at the 5th Annual Drive to Stay Alive Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday June 19, 2008 at the Redwoods Golf Course in Langley, BC.

There was plenty of fun, great food, prizes, networking and a great day of golf, and the rain even managed to stay away.

Net proceeds from the BC Safety Council Golf Tournament will help support our Youth Injury Prevention Initiatives.
